Earlier than clonazolam, Diazepam was the one which is first marketed as Valium and is a medication under the benzodiazepine family producing a calming effect. In general, it is used to treat a range of conditions that includes anxiety, alcohol and benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome, muscle spasms, trouble sleeping, seizures and restless legs syndrome. Some medical practices involve even memory loss. The kinds of administration are oral, through rectum, muscular or vein injections.
Diazepam is used for many types of treatments like treatment of anxiety, panic attacks and states of agitation, tetanus, neuro-vegetative symptoms associated with vertigo, short term insomnia and the one which are associated with alcohol, opiate and benzodiazepine withdrawals. It is also used in adjunctive treatment of spastic muscular paresis caused by cerebral or spinal cord conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, or spinal cord injury. And also used in pre- or post operative sedations and anxiolysis and for the treatment of stiff person syndrome. Diazepam can also be used in treating complications that rose due to hallucinogen crisis and psychosis and in preventative treatment of oxygen toxicity during hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The dosages should be determined on an individual basis, depending on the condition being treated, severity of symptoms, patient body weight, and any other conditions the person may contain.
Clonazolam – the best substitute for Diazepam:
Clonazolam is a benzodiazepine which is sold online as a designer drug. Its preparation was recorder in 1971 and the drug describes itself as the most potential and active compound. As the time passed and research advanced, clonazolam that derived from two FDA approved drugs has become the best replacement for Diazepam. Because of its effective effects on all types of treatments which are identical on the ones for which diazepam was being used the designer drug clonazolam is regarded as the replacement for diazepam.
Diazepam is a potent and decent benzo. It is short acting, chills and sedates you out. Intake of just 5mg can function in a better way. On the other hand, clonazolam is like a whole other animal and sledgehammer. 0.5mg clonazolam acts equivalent to 40mg diazepam. Anyone can easily blackout on just one or two pellets even with a benzo tolerance.
Most are probably familiar with diazepam that is characterized by an increase in mood. At 1mg, it won’t knock you but makes you sleep. It can be used several nights a week without tolerance increase. Its main effects can be felt for about 6 hours, kicking in very rapidly especially if taken sublingually. After effects the next day feels like the next day after a moderate dose. In contrast, Clonazolam when tried 0.5mg at first will usually show a strong effect. It is more hypnotic and somewhere around 3x as potent. Lingers quite long into the next day so don’t take a “knock-out dose” and expect to show up for work looking bright and chipper the next morning. Recreational doses may be even higher.
Henceforth, Clonazolam will show all the effects being shown by diazepam but at higher rates. The clonazolam can be used at very low dose and concentrations which gives more effect and potential result when compared to that of usage of higher dosage diazepam. Its action will be quick and the usage withdrawal is notoriously difficult.
